HAMILTON, Bermuda (AP) _ Bank of NT Butterfield & Son Ltd. (NTB) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $42.1 million.
The Hamilton, Bermuda-based bank said it had earnings of 85 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 86 cents per share.
The community bank posted revenue of $125.3 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $123.3 million, exceeding Street forecasts.
For the year, the company reported profit of $147.2 million, or $2.90 per share. Revenue was reported as $501.5 million.
Bank of NT Butterfield & Son shares have risen roughly 7% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $33.26, a decrease of slightly more than 2% in the last 12 months.
