The world-famous street artist Banksy is selling 50 of his works in support of Ukraine. Prints of Banksy's paintings are exhibited on the Legacy of War website. The artist will direct the proceeds to the needs of the organisation that helps Ukrainians, mostly disadvantaged segments of the population.

"I’ve made 50 of these screenprints with all proceeds going to our friends in Ukraine," the artist wrote.

Each canvas costs £5,000, and each customer can buy only one Banksy work. Each print comes signed, numbered and float mounted in a wooden frame.

"We're excited to offer an art screen print by the celebrated British graffiti artist Banksy. The artist is covering costs so ALL proceeds from this sale will go to fund supplies for our team in the conflict zone in Ukraine," the website says.

The auction website writes that each print is unique, because Banksy attached every print with a sharpened pizza cutter. Therefore, the images may differ slightly from the pictured ones.

"With the funds raised from this print sale we will immediately be purchasing new ambulances and support vehicles. These are needed in Donbas for the continued evacuation of persons with disabilities, the elderly and civilian casualties. We will be sending generators, gas heaters and solar powered lights to communities who are facing the brutal winter without electricity. And we will be able to continue our support for shelters in Kyiv for women and the LGBTQ community", Giles Duley, CEO of Legacy of War Foundation, writes.

The artist himself noted that he saw the results of the organisation's work during his visit to Ukraine.

"In Ukraine I saw a Legacy of War team sweep in and provide medical attention, heaters, fresh water and a friendly face to some very desperate people in a bombed out building. They also lent me one of their ambulances to work from, which turned out to be extremely useful when an angry babushka found me painting on her building and called the Police. I feel the least I should do is raise enough money to replace the number plates on the ambulance I hotted up...", Banksy jokes on the website.

The registration for potential buyers of Banksy prints closes on Friday, 16 December at 12:00 GMT. Successful applicants will be selected by a computer program, and details of how to complete their purchase will be pointed out.
