Baptist Health opening a new health facility to serve Oldham County residents
Baptist Health is opening a new health care facility in Crestwood that will serve residents of Oldham County, the health system announced Wednesday.
The inpatient hospital and outpatient health care community still doesn't have an opening date, or even a construction timeline, but the press release said that the project is expected to begin in the next two years, pending approval.
"Baptist Health plans to hold a series of listening sessions, inviting residents and employees to help envision the future and ensure the needs of the community are reflected in both campuses (Crestwood and La Grange—which is currently operating)," said the statement released on Wednesday.
The new facility will be in Clore Station, a commercial and residential space that is currently under development off Interstate 71 and Ky. 329, at Exit 14.

“Oldham County, and the surrounding region, is one of the fastest growing in the state," said Gerard Colman, the CEO of Baptist Health. "We are excited to have this opportunity to design and build a next-generation hospital and outpatient facilities, fully tailored to serving the area for years to come.”
The only hospital in Oldham County is at 1025 New Moody Lane in La Grange, which is also owned and operated by Baptist Health.
Since Baptist Health is also thinking about the future of services provided in the La Grange hospital, the statement said that " investing in both locations allows for growth and increased access to healthcare for all patients along the I-71 corridor."
The new development will be the ninth Baptist Health-operated hospital. Along with the facility in La Grange, the system has hospitals in Corbin, Elizabethtown, Lexington, Louisville, Paducah, Richmond and New Albany, Indiana.
