Ashland's Big Bands and All That Jazz Society will play host to Cleveland vocalist Barbara Knight at 7 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church, 1425 King Road, Ashland.

Knight returns with her jazz ensemble of trumpeter Jack Schantz, pianist Phil Landry, bassist Tim Powell and drummer Jim Rupp.

Knight was a vocalist with the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra. She also worked with national big bands such as the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and Harry James Orchestra. In May 2001, she recorded her first compact disc, "Night And Day", with the CJO plus strings. In 2003, she made her Severance Hall debut as the guest vocalist with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra.
