Barletta named to American Greatness PAC Advisory Board

Jul. 10—WILKES-BARRE — Former congressman Lou Barletta Thursday announced that he is uniting with his former colleague Jim Renacci and joining the Advisory Board of American Greatness.

"This organization will restore the voice of the working men and women and fight to propel the MAGA policy agenda back in the spot light," Barletta said.

According to the website, the American Greatness PAC was formed in February 2021 as the affiliated PAC of the American Greatness Fund, an advocacy group formed to further the policies set forth in 2016 of the MAGA Movement.

The American Greatness Fund website also states: "Our country saw unprecedented growth and prosperity under these policies and the only way to restore our American Greatness, is to restore the MAGA policies in our states and across our nation. The movement of good policy supersedes any group or individual, yet will bring prosperity, peace, business growth, and revive the American values that made our country great for 200 years. Now is the time to harness the policy power of the MAGA Movement."

The American Greatness Fund supports:

—The U.S. Constitution and the rule of law.

—The Electoral College.

—The power of state legislatures to govern election law.

—The God-given right of the people to self-govern.

Chairman Renacci welcomed Barletta to the organization's Advisory Board.

"My friend and former Congressman Lou Barletta is Joining me on the board of American Greatness," Renacci said. "Lou is a MAGA patriot and, like me, a fighter for the America First Policies that had our country and states booming. More news coming soon."

Barletta, 66, a Republican, formerly represented the former 11th Congressional District and served as mayor of Hazleton City. He said he decided to join the Advisory Board of the American Greatness PAC because he believes in the "MAGA movement."

Barletta is featured in a video/TV ad that supports the organization.

"I remember well the four years in our nation where policies were put in place that put America first," Barletta says in the video. "America was booming. U.S. manufacturing was up, we were securing our border, and this country led through strength.

"That is far from the case now. Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi have led this nation down a dark path of high inflation, empty store shelves, obscene gas prices, and the cost of doing business for entrepreneurs is out of control.

"It's time to make a change. We need policies to bring back hope, freedom and to spark the American Dream."

Barletta continued, stating, "We can't wait until 2024. We need to unite now. We need to stop illegals from flooding our state, We need to become energy independent again, we need to bring back respect for our constitution."
