A popular book retailer is returning to Kenwood.

Barnes & Noble opens Friday at the The Kenwood Collection, located at 5901 E. Galbraith Road near Crate & Barrel and Old Navy. The store opens for business at 10 a.m., and author Mia Sheridan will sign copies of an annotated special edition of her book "Archer's Voice" to celebrate the grand opening.

The bookseller, once plagued by declining sales, has opened over 30 new locations this year, according to a press release. The Kenwood store is one of 10 new locations to open in the past month.

“The original Kenwood Barnes & Noble that the community remembers and loved so dearly closed its doors in November 2013. The fact that we are opening on the 10-year anniversary of that date is an exciting and a symbolic occasion,” store manager Maria Frick McCartney said in the release. “We’re more than ready to serve the community in our beautiful new Kenwood bookstore!”

The previous Kenwood Barnes & Noble store was located at 7800 Montgomery Road in Kenwood Square, across the street from Kenwood Towne Centre.

The new location is now the fourth Barnes & Noble in Greater Cincinnati, joining stores in Florence, West Chester and Mason. Barnes & Noble's December hours are posted on its website.
