Barnwell County crash claims life of 59-year-old

BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – One person is dead after a crash in Barnwell County.

It happened Wednesday night around 7:00 pm on Ashleigh Road near Reedy Branch Road.

Only one car was involved.

Highway Patrol says the driver, identified as 59-year-old Ricky Collins of Blackville, S.C., ran off the road and was killed.

Collins died at the scene from severe head trauma.
