Barrel of Love collection day reset for Tuesday

Mar. 6—Decatur's Barrels of Love collection has been rescheduled for Tuesday at Ingalls Harbor Pavilion from 8 a.m. until noon.

Collection was originally scheduled for Friday but was postponed because of stormy weather.

Volunteers will be on hand to collect and process non-perishable food donations.

Items collected are used to stock food pantries at the Salvation Army of Decatur and the Committee on Church Cooperation. Both service residents of Decatur and Morgan County. Items are also used for the backpack feeding programs for Decatur City and Morgan County Schools students to cover spring break.
