Barstow employee recognized as Food 4 Less celebrates its 35th anniversary
A Barstow Food 4 Less/Foods Co. employee was recognized as one of four people who have been with the company since its first location opened 35 years ago in San Bernardino.
Receiving clerk Ismael Aguilar is one of four associates who have a collective 140 years of experience with Food 4 Less/Foods Co., company officials said. The other three associates include District Leader John Snavely, Colton cashier Alhelo Flores, and Riverside assistant store leader Michele Thompson.
“At Food 4 Less/Foods Co. we understand the pivotal role our associates play in our communities, and the dedication of these four associates is truly inspiring,” Food 4 Less/Food Co. President Bryan Kaltenbach said. “We have proudly served the Inland Empire since 1988, and are the first stop families make when they want to create a special meal to celebrate a milestone or a favorite holiday.”
Kaltenbach added that the company provides many of its neighbors with their first job, and many have stayed for their entire careers.
In honor of the four employees, Food 4 Less/Foods Co. donated $5,000 to Los Angeles Southwest Community College.
Food 4 Less/Foods Co. employs 9,000 associates serving customers in 121 price-impact, warehouse-format supermarkets across California, company officials stated in a press release.
