BART officers rescue stray dog that wandered on trackway

(KRON) — BART rescued a stray dog Thursday afternoon that was on the trackway between the Fruitvale and Lake Merritt stations, the public transit agency announced on social media. Fortunately, the officers were able to get the dog out of the tracks before it was harmed.

The dog was not hurt, but it didn’t have a tag to potentially find its owner. The dog was taken to Oakland Animal Services.
