Baseball coach from Hesperia arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography
A 42-year-old youth baseball coach from Hesperia was arrested by Fontana Police on suspicion that he downloaded and distributed child pornography.
Ryan Matthew Pratt was arrested on Tuesday and was released the following day. He has no scheduled court appearance, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s booking records show.
Detectives from the Fontana Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force discovered Pratt was downloading and distributing child pornography over the internet.
On Tuesday, a search warrant was served at Pratt’s residence in the 15200 block of Kimball Street in Hesperia. During the search warrant, detectives seized multiple electronic devices, police officials said.
Evidence relating to the downloading and distributing of child pornography was also located, Fontana Police said.
Pratt was arrested for possession and distribution of child pornography and booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
Police identified Pratt as a volunteer with the High Desert Pony League. Baseball league officials have been notified of Pratt’s arrest, police officials said.
On Wednesday, the administrator of the High Desert Pony League Facebook page posted, “This man was a coach in our 6u division. He has been removed from the team."
