The group honors long-time assistant coaches.

Inductees were from the University of Iowa, Michigan State, and Stanford, as well as Kansas, Arizona, and Missouri.

“This is an opportunity for people who often get overlooked -- more like hidden figures to have an opportunity to have the spotlight,” said Felicia Hall Allen, with A Step Up, Inc.

“We did travel to Atlanta, to Dallas, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale -- building a market around, so it feels really good to do A Step Up and the Hall of Fame right here at home in Charlotte, North Carolina,” said Johnny Allen, the executive director.
