Basketball scoreboard: Gainesville girls roll in first round of Region 8-6A tournament
Feb. 14—Gainesville's Keidra Young finished with 18 points as it beat Apalachee 59-30 in the first round of the Region 8-6A tournament Tuesday at Habersham Central High.
Also for the Lady Red Elephants, Mattie White had 14 points and Keke Jones chipped in 11.
With the win, Gainesville will play again in the region tournament semifinals Thursday in Mount Airy.
