BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Here are the latest coronavirus updates around Basking Ridge.

Cases and Vaccinations

The Somerset County Health Department has reported 71 new cases in Bernards Township over the past week, bringing the town to 905 cases since the pandemic began. Officials reported one new COVID-19 death in Bernards Township, bringing the death toll to 47 people.

The New Jersey Department of Health has tallied 16,876 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Somerset County as of Wednesday morning — an increase of 6,068 in the past week. The county has an estimated population of 328,934, and both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses per person.
