Johnny Morris continues to climb Forbes' annual billionaires list.

The business magazine ranked Bass Pro shop's founder and CEO No. 246 among the world's richest people, a year after checking in at 424.

Morris' net worth was an estimated $6 billion in last year's publication, and has since grown to $8.3 billion.

Two years ago, Forbes ranked Morris at No. 705 ($3.2 billion) based on 2020 data, when his businesses appeared to have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was a noticeable dip from Morris' estimated $5.3 billion net worth of 2019.

Morris, who Forbes listed as Missouri's richest man earlier this year, also ranks among the 100 wealthiest Americans.

The top five American citizens include Elon Musk ($180 billion), Jeff Bezos ($114 billion), Larry Ellison ($107 billion) Warren Buffet ($106), and Bill Gates ($104 billion).
