From Batman marathons to boozy brunches, here's what's happening in Shreveport this weekend

The rainy weather is potentially here to stay in Shreveport over the weekend, but don't let that ruin the fun that can be found around town.

Escape the rain with a day at the movies, experience an art gallery, show off your trivia skills and have a boozy brunch on Sunday to top off the weekend.

  • Stranger Things Trivia at Port City Bar B Que - Do you know everything about Hawkins, the Upside Down and all of the kids, adults and monsters of Stranger Things? Head over to Port City Bar B Que at 7 p.m. for three rounds of trivia all about Netflix's biggest show. Port City Bar B Que is located at 784 E. Flournoy Lucas in Shreveport.

  • Twilight Talkies at the R.W. Norton Art Gallery - Bring your blankets and chairs for a free movie under the stars at the Norton Art Gallery. Local food trucks Larry P's Boiling Pot, Tasty Treats and Big Hall's Snowballs will be there with the showing of Disney's "Bolt" beginning at 8 p.m. Dogs are welcome at this screening and must be kept on a leash and picked up after. The R.W. Norton Art Gallery is located at 4747 Creswell Ave. in Shreveport.

  • Goth Night Resurrection at The Korner Lounge - Come out for an evening with friends, leather and lace, drinking and drag with a curated collection of new and old goth music all night long. Performances by Duchess Allure, Laxus Chantal, Jacquelyn Halide and Peaxches. The cover is $8, event is 21+ only and will begin at 10:30 p.m. The Korner Lounge is located at 800 Louisiana Ave. in Shreveport.

  • BATMAN & ROBINson Film Marathon at the Robinson Film Center - The Shreveport Regional Arts Council and the Robinson Film Center have joined forces for an all-day event to celebrate the closing of the Chip Kidd Batman Black and White Exhibit at artspace. Come and go as you please, grab a bite from Abby Singers or the newly opened Pepito XO from 4 - 9 p.m. Beginning at 10 a.m. enjoy five Batman films until 10 p.m. at the Robinson. Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992), Batman Mask of the Phantasm (1993), Batman Forever (1995) and The Dark Knight (2008) for $35. Purchase tickets at the artspace Shreveport website.

  • 2022 Auction Against AIDS at Sam's Town Hotel & Casino - The Philadelphia Center is hosting an 80s-themed rad night of local art, silent auction and favorite contests to create an experience like no other. The 80s was a decade of big hair, shoulder pads, acid-washed jeans, leg warmers and lots of spandex with music that still resonates today. The event begins at 6 p.m. and Sam's Town is located at 315 Clyde Fant Pkwy in Shreveport.

  • The Millennial Party at Bear's - That Girl DJ will be hosting a night of nostalgia spinning your favorite 90s and 00s hits. Come dressed in your best Millennial outfit and potentially win $100 from crowd voting. Bear's is located at 1401 Fairfield Ave. in Shreveport.

  • Sunday Beer Brunch at Great Raft Brewing - Come out for a morning up 20+ beers, nitro cold brew from Rhino Coffee and an array of non-alcoholic options for a boozy brunch. The full menu is a surprise, but rest assured Chef Nick's famous scratch-made biscuits will be on it. Beer brunch will be from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Great Raft Brewing located at 1251 Dalzell St. in Shreveport.

  • Dungeons and Dragons Beginner One-Shots at The Gamers XP - Come learn how to play D&D from professional game masters with these 5th Edition D&D one-shot campaigns. This weekly event is $10 to participate and begins at 6 p.m. The Gamers XP is located at 1134 Shreveport-Barksdale in Shreveport.

  • Open Paint & Bottomless Mimosas at Artipsy - Get creative with an open paint and bottomless mimosas at Artipsy. Open paint is not led by an instructor and no experience is necessary to enjoy. The $25 fee includes all art supplies and bottomless mimosas. The event will be from Noon - 3 p.m. at Artipsy located at 450 Clyde Fant Pkwy in Shreveport.
