Baton Rouge Bike N Vote gets community involved in early voting

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Presidential Preference Primary and Municipal Primary Election is set for Saturday, March 23 and while the voter registration deadline has passed, local organizations are working to get the community to take advantage of early voting.

The Power Coalition of Equity and Justice in partnership with Geaux Ride Baton Rouge and Bike N Vote is making it their mission to get people to the polls with one of their signature events, biking to the polls.

“We want to have people engaged in the process of what’s going on. Oftentimes, a lot of people say ‘I have no voice, I have no vote’ but you have to do your civic duty, right?” organizer Anthony Kenney said.
