Baton Rouge Police identify victim in overnight Saturday shooting
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge Police Department Homicide detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Saturday morning.
According to police spokesperson L’Jean McKneely, around 3:18 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a reported shooting in the 5200 block of Longfellow Drive. Upon arrival, officers found 23-year-old Daon Scott with multiple gunshot wounds. Scott was pronounced dead at the scene, police say.
Police say the motive and suspect(s) are still unknown at this time.
