The bats were hot for NEO Lady Norse as they defeated Coffeyville 14-6

MIAMI, Ok. — Thursday afternoon, the NEO Lady Norse took on the Coffeyville Red Ravens at home in a doubleheader, searching for their first win of the season.

The Lady Norse bats were too hot as they defeated Coffeyville 14-6 in game one and 9-1 in game two. NEO picks up their first wins of the season to improve to 2-2 on the season. While the Red Ravens fall to 1-5 on the season.

In game one, NEO got out to a fast start scoring eight runs within the first two innings, but Coffeyville would respond with four runs in the top of the third to make it a four-point game. The Lady Norse bounced back in the bottom of the third to score six runs to push their lead to 14-4. Coffeyville tried to make a push but they would only get two more runs in the fourth inning.

It would be the same start in game two for the Lady Norse in game two with a 9-1 victory.

Offense scored 25 runs and in the circle dealt 12 strikeouts.

Coffeyville will be back in action on Friday, February 23rd on the road to face Murray State College for a doubleheader at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

As for NEO, they will travel to Mena, Arkansas to take on the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain on Saturday, February 17th for a doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
