Bay Area rainfall totals: 7.5 inches drench Mt. Tamalpais

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A series of storms swirled over the San Francisco Bay Area and pummeled the region with rain. Tropical moisture, also known as an atmospheric rivers, generated wet, windy, and wild weather from the North Bay to the South Bay.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported impressive 72-hour rainfall totals, including 7.54 inches on Mount Tamalpais, 5.27 inches on Mount Umunhum, and 7.73 inches in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Below are 72-hour rainfalls totals reported by NOAA and the National Weather Service, ending at 10 a.m. Monday:
