DETROIT – The Brimley Bays may have lost the game to the Alpena Wildcats, but they experienced something that they will never forget.

The Bays and Wildcats got the chance to play at Little Caesars Arena on Friday night and even though the result of the game was not what Brimley coach Jacques LeBlanc was hoping for, he was very appreciative of the opportunity presented to his players.

“It was a very exciting weekend for our program to play on one of the biggest stages,” LeBlanc said.  “It’s something that these guys will remember forever.”

The Bays came up on the short end of a 65-51 scoreboard.

Brendan Gross led Brimley with 14 points, while Perry LeBlanc and Trey Lynn scored 13 points each. Lynn also had five assists and five rebounds, while Owen Johnson also had five boards.

“I’ve seen great improvement over the course of our early season,” LeBlanc said of his team.  “I’m excited for what’s to come.  Brendan had a very solid game and didn’t miss a shot.”

Alpena was led by Tucker Bright’s 17 points, while Brady Kollen scored 15.
