Battle Creek Central hasn't seen a lot of success on the volleyball court in recent years. Let alone, witness some of its athletes move on to the college ranks.

Which made Wednesday's ceremonial letter of intent signing, featuring two of the Bearcats' finest netters, pretty exciting.

Battle Creek Central's Tia Henry and Jadyn Horne each committed to play college volleyball at Division III Trine University during a signing ceremony at BCC High School.

"Both athletes gave a lot to our program as we built it up over the past four years. They have a bright future ahead of them," said BCC volleyball coach Kelsey Guyton.

Henry was a senior outside hitter and captain in her third year on the varsity for the Bearcats in the fall, earning All-City and all-conference honors the last two years.

Horne was a four-year varsity player, captain and an outside hitter, earning all-conference honorable mention honors as a senior.
