BCHS resource officer terminated for "communication inconsistent with role"

The city of Pembroke terminated a school resource officer upon learning about communication he had with a student.

A school resource officer was terminated from the City of Pembroke upon learning he, “had communication with a high school student that was inconsistent with his role as a SRO."

According to a statement released by the city, they were notified of the matter Monday by administrators at Bryan County High School and the officer was fired Tuesday. The statement goes on to say, “At this time no further information is available pending completion of the independent investigation being conducted by GBI.”
