BCPS seeks to know which students will need to ride school bus

Baltimore County parents are being asked to register their children who attend one of more than two-dozen schools for bus service this fall. A growing number of county parents describe school bus service as poor after a year in which buses were late or didn't show up at all. Officials said the school system is trying to address some of the issues in at least one section of the county. Baltimore County Public Schools transports more than 77,000 students a day. For some time, the district has had to explain to parents why buses are showing up late, especially in the northeastern part of the county. In some cases, students have been left stranded at their bus stops.
