Summer is slowly creeping up on us, which means trips to the beach — or the backyard since we're still in the midst of a pandemic, after all — are just a few weeks away. So, what better excuse do you need to load up on new swimwear? And if you're in the mood to score a few flattering poolside pieces, Everlane has your back with their first foray into sustainable swimwear.

Launching April 15, the eco-friendly fashion brand will debut its first-ever collection of bikinis, one-pieces, and more. These premium-quality swimwear pieces are made out of 82 percent recycled Italian Econyl, a fabric made out of recycled plastic waste and old fishing nets from around the world to keep plastic out of landfills and our oceans. Through this initiative, Everlane was able to pull 13,768 pounds of recycled plastic out of our oceans and into our closets, which we can definitely get on board with.

Starting at $30 per piece, this sustainable swimwear line features a range of sizes from XXS-XXL, and the brand even fit-tested each style on 112 different women to ensure that every suit feels comfortable, looks great, and stays put. Everlane's new swim collection also features seven styles in eight interchangeable colors, so you can coordinate your swimwear to your daily style.

Speaking of style, each and every piece from this collection stays in the vein of Everlane's beloved down-to-the-basics DNA: It’s filled with muted tones and simplistic cuts that will flatter your frame and keep you cool for beach seasons to come.
