If you are looking for an entertaining murder mystery series, or a historical account of the Myrtle Beach area, there are plenty of local authors up and down the Grand Strand.

Ron Wing, aka ‘James Robert Fuller’

Under the pen name James Robert Fuller, local author Ronald Wing is currently working on his next release in his Myrtle Beach murder mystery series.

His first release was titled “Paradise: Disturbed,” and follows the story of two FBI agents who team up in order to find a serial killer.

With thousands of fans across the nation, Wing often writes back and forth with fans, he said. Readers can expect to see familiar names and sights in his books, even homes along the Grand Strand.

“Death on the Causeway” will be available May 9. It picks up several months after the events of book three, “Death on the Golden Mile.”

Wygal moved with his family to the Myrtle Beach area in 2019. His inspiration for a mystery series came during a quiet time in the car driving up and down Ocean Boulevard with his son in the back, Wygal said.

“I pitched it to my publisher, and they loved it,” Wygal said in a past Sun News article. “They told me to stop what I was working on then, and it worked out.”
