Beachfront Hotel in St Augustine Damaged by Hurricane Ian

Communities in coastal Florida surveyed the damage wrought by Hurricane Ian which made landfall in the state’s southwest on Wednesday, September 28, before heading east and restrengthening over the Atlantic.

This footage from Cynthia Hanrahan in St Augustine Beach shows damage to the Embassy Suites. Hanrahan said she filmed the video Friday morning, a day after Ian hit her area with heavy rain and high wind.

Volusia and Brevard Counties remained under flood warnings on Friday. The storm was expected to make a second landfall in the Carolinas, the National Weather Service said. Credit: @cynthiahanrahan via Storyful
