Beacon Blitz: High school football predictions for Week 2
There's a new kid on the block and his name is Brad Bournival.
Hardly new and hardly a kid, Bournival did make his debut in Beacon Journal High School football predictions last week and he wasted no time becoming a threat to defending champion prognosticator Michael Beaven.
Bournival turned in an impressive 18-3 record to take a one-game lead over Beaven out of the blocks.
The third member of the high school coverage team, Michael Leonard, stumbled out of the gate with a 15-6 record and Sports Editor Scot Fagerstrom firmly established himself as an also-ran with a 13-8 record.
Some of the top games on tap for this week are Barberton at Stow, East at Dover, Erie Cathedral Prep at Hoban and Firestone at Copley.
How They Rank:Hoban, Walsh Jesuit remain atop high school football rankings; Tallmadge moves up
