Beacon man shot and killed at Forrestal Heights housing complex off West Center St.

BEACON — A 32-year-old Beacon man was fatally shot in the Forrestal Heights housing complex parking lot Saturday evening, according to a statement from the city of Beacon Police Department.

Lionell Pittman, police said, died as a result of his gunshot wounds.

Police responded to a report of shots fired in the Forrestal Heights parking lot, which is located off of West Center Street, just before 7 p.m.

As of Sunday evening no arrests had been made in connection to the shooting, said Detective Sgt. Jason Johnson, but there was no immediate threat to the public.

Johnson did not comment on whether or not police have identified any suspects or potential motives for the shooting.
