Bear Pair Look Less Than Thrilled as Friend Catches Leaping Salmon in Katmai National Park

A wildlife photographer in Katmai National Park, Alaska, captured the moment a brown bear neatly caught a salmon leaping out of the water at Brooks Falls – and the priceless reaction of the two bears next to it.

The video was captioned, “Alaskan coastal brown bears doing what they do best,” and shows the victorious bear first missing one fish that tries to jump up the waterfall, before ultimately catching one in its mouth.

The camera then pans to show other bears at the salmon buffet.

According to reports, the waterfall creates a natural barrier that the fish need to get over, creating ample opportunity for peckish bears. Credit: Michael Thomas Wolfel via Storyful
