Bears’ Khalil Mack, Robert Quinn questionable vs. Giants

The New York Giants are relatively healthy entering a Week 2 matchup with the Chicago Bears, listing just veteran defensive back Adrian Colbert (quad) out for Sunday’s game.

Wide receiver Golden Tate (hamstring) and rookie linebacker Carter Coughlin (hamstring) were also each listed as questionable, but at least in Tate’s case, he will have a chance to play in Week 2.

For the Bears, their injury report was equally thin, but featured two very key names: linebackers Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn.

Quinn, who is nursing an ankle injury, was a limited participant in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, but returned in full on Friday and has a better than not chance to start on Sunday.

For Mack, who is hampered by a knee injury, things are a little less certain. He was limited in each of the team’s three practices this week and is more likely a game-time decision.

“I’d be surprised if those players don’t play this week,” head coach Joe Judge told reporters on Friday. “We’re fully anticipating seeing those top end defensive players, especially the edge players, going as hard as they can for 60 minutes.”

Mack has similar expectations.

“I’m going to be ready on Sunday,” Mack told reporters.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. and tight end Jimmy Graham, who were each given a rest day on Wednesday, were removed from the injury report.

Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, who missed practice on Thursday with an illness, returned in full on Friday and did not receive an injury designation.
