Bears RT Massie a surprise among MNF inactives

Chicago starting right tackle Bobby Massie was an unexpected inactive for the Bears game against the Washington Redskins on Monday night at Landover, Md.

Massie, an eight-year veteran, was not listed on the Bears' injury report leading up to the game. Either Cornelius Lucas or Rashaad Coward are expected to start in Massie's place.

Chicago kicker Eddy Pineiro, who had been questionable after hurting his knee in the weight room on Friday, is active for the game.

Defensive lineman Bilal Nichols, linebacker Josh Woods, defensive backs Kevin Toliver II and Sherrick McManis, running back Kerrith Whyte Jr. and receiver Riley Ridley were the Bears' other inactive players.

For Washington, defensive lineman Jonathan Allen was active after missing a Week 2 loss to Dallas.

Redskins cornerback Quinton Dunbar (knee) and tight end Jordan Reed (concussion) remained inactive. Dunbar will miss his second consecutive game. Reed is out for a third straight game.

Quarterback Colt McCoy, linebacker Cassanova McKinzy, center Ross Pierschbacher, guard Wes Martin and defensive lineman T.Y. McGill were Washington's other inactives.
