The Chicago Bears released their first injury report ahead of Sunday’s finale against the Minnesota Vikings, which featured both good and bad news.

Just as the Bears look to be getting back rookie quarterback Justin Fields, who was a full participant in practice, they could be without some big names on defense against the Vikings. Robert Quinn and Akiem Hicks didn’t practice with injuries.

Here’s a look at the full injury report from Wednesday’s practice:

  • TE Jimmy Graham (non-injury/resting vet)

  • WR Jakeem Grant (ankle)

  • DT Akiem Hicks (ankle)

  • OLB Robert Quinn (shoulder)

Two prominent members of the Bears defense didn’t practice Wednesday. Outside linebacker Robert Quinn is dealing with a shoulder injury that sidelined him, although he did meet with the media, which is usually a good sign he’ll play. Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks appears to have tweaked his ankle injury, which sidelined him Wednesday. This could be Hicks’ last chance to play with the Bears, as he’s slated to hit free agency this offseason. Wide receiver Jakeem Grant, who missed time with a concussion, is now dealing with an ankle injury.

  • CB Duke Shelley (heel)

It looks like rookie quarterback Justin Fields will get the start against the Vikings in the Bears’ finale. Fields, who’s missed the last two games with an ankle injury, was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. Barring any sort of setback, Bears fans will get a final look at Fields in his rookie season before an important 2022 offseason. Elsewhere, nose tackle Eddie Goldman wasn’t impacted by a finger injury he continues to nurse. Cornerback Duke Shelley, who missed last week’s game with a heel injury, is also on track to return Sunday.
