New Bears WR DJ Moore reacts to being traded by Panthers

The title of this post is a weird one, isn’t it? Well, how weird do you think it feels for DJ Moore?

On Friday, the Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears dropped a bombshell—coming to a massive agreement for the 2023 NFL draft’s No. 1 overall pick. In exchange for jumping themselves onto the clock—presumably for a quarterback—the Panthers relinquished their first-rounder (No. 9 overall) and a second-rounder (No. 61) for this spring, a 2024 first-rounder, a 2025 second-rounder and, in the biggest surprise of all, Moore.

Here’s how the 25-year-old pass catcher reacted to the news:

A University of Maryland standout, Moore was drafted by the Panthers in the first round of the 2018 draft. He has since become the fourth-leading receiver in franchise history—amassing 5,201 yards and 21 touchdowns off 364 receptions.

Moore is now the second prominent Panther to be dealt within the last year., as the team traded star running back Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers back on Oct. 20. Ironically enough, Moore was shipped off to Chicago alongside one of the four picks the Panthers got in that deal for McCaffrey.
