Beat the heat at Cincinnati-area cooling centers and public pools

The National Weather service has an excessive heat warning in effect Tuesday from noon to 9 p.m., cautioning against dangerously high temperatures.

Extreme heat and humidity increase the possibility of heat stroke or heat exhaustion. The National Weather Service suggests drinking lots of fluids, staying out of the sun and using air conditioning, if possible.

If you need a place to access cool air, charge devices or take a break from the heat, the Cincinnati area will have several cooling centers available. If you're 55 or older and need a way to get to a center, the nonprofit 55 North may be able to help.
