These beauty brands are making hand sanitizer — and it's still in stock
As we all make an effort to practice better hand hygiene, having a trusty hand sanitizer for those essential trips to the store can be a comforting preventative measure. However, the overwhelming demand has made it difficult to find.
In an effort to help with this shortage, some beauty companies have been repurposing their production facilities to manufacture their own hand sanitizer.
One of the latest brands to start producing hand sanitizer is celebrity-favorite Peter Roth Thomas. The brand recently launched a new sanitizing spray that's available in two sizes and starts at $10.
"In response to the current crisis, Peter Thomas Roth has repurposed part of our manufacturing facility to help combat the hand sanitizer shortage. Through this initiative, we hope to help those unable to find hand sanitizers," the brand said in a statement provided to Shop TODAY.

The spray bottle contains 80% alcohol, surpassing The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommended amount of at least 60% alcohol for proper sanitation. The brand is also providing 5,000 hand sanitizers to Northwell Health Hospitals, New York State’s largest health care provider.

The formula was made to avoid leaving a sticky residue, while essential oils including lavender and orange peel offer a calming scent. It's available in 2- and 16-ounce sizes and starts at $8.
Vegamour is also doing its part to give back to the community by giving 20% of its proceeds to the Restaurant Workers' Community Foundation, which provides aid to organizations that are leading on-the-ground efforts in the restaurant community.

Formulated with 62% ethyl alcohol, this pocket-sized sanitizer is also made with a trio of moisturizing ingredients: marula oil, sweet almond oil and aloe. If you want a bigger version, the brand is also selling a 16-ounce bottle pump too.

According to its website, Clark's Botanicals has shifted 100% of its production to focus on producing hand sanitizer. The 4-ounce bottle is free with the purchase of any full-size product, but it's also sold for $8.63.
Clark's Botanicals is also donating its hand sanitizer to Northwell Health and Montefiore hospitals in New York.

Available in grapefruit or unscented, this large 8-ounce bottle of hand sanitizer from By Humankind is made with 65% alcohol and is enough for 220 uses. It's also formulated with hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin and each bottle is made with recyclable aluminum.
The brand is also donating $1 from each hand sanitizer sale to The Robin Hood Relief Fund, which provides support to New Yorkers in need.
5. Orly Hand Sanitizer Spray 4-Pack

The nail polish brand released a four-pack of hand sanitizer spray made with just four ingredients, including 75% alcohol. With no fragrances or oils added to the formula, this spray is also vegan and cruelty-free. According to the brand, a portion of the proceeds will also go towards helping medical professionals and at-risk populations.

This child-friendly skin care brand developed its own hand sanitizer with 65% alcohol. Each bottle comes with around 80 applications and is made with sugarcane-derived squalane and glycerin to help soften and prevent hands from drying out.

Natural beauty brand 100% Pure developed a plant-based hand sanitizer spray with 62% alcohol. It's also formulated with nourishing aloe vera gel and antibacterial tea tree oil.

Skin care brand Oars + Alps launched hand sanitizer spray and gel to help supply hospitals across New York City and Chicago with the essential. The brand is also making the products available to the public — the gel version is $16 for two bottles and the set of two pocket-sized sprays is $12. Both formulas are made with 71% alcohol and vitamin E.
