Beauty supply, clothing store opens in mall
Aug. 22—The North Plains Mall has a new beauty supply/clothing store.
The inspiration for the store's creation may be regarded as relatively simple.
"Honestly? I was tired of driving to Lubbock to get the necessities I needed to do my hair and my daughter's hair as well," Nicole Caicedo said. Caicedo, a Massachusetts native, is the proprietor of Simply Divine Beauty.
"I have four babies and an amazing husband in the Air Force," Caicedo said.
The name, "Simply Divine," may be familiar to some in the area. Caicedo has the business, Simply Divine Nutrition, at Cannon Air Force Base.
"We serve nutritional smoothies and shakes, wraps, salads," Caicedo said.
Caicedo describes Simply Divine Beauty as a combination beauty supply store that carries a variety of conditioners, hair growth products, pomades, hair accessories for both adults and children, braiding hair extensions, wigs and sunglasses.
"We also have an assortment of other accessories such as brushes, combs and blow dryers," Caicedo said.
As for clothing, the store carries clothing in sizes from small to 5X.
"We have an assortment of t-shirts, jeans and dresses. We also carry a few select shoes and sneakers for men. We will be adding a men's section for the fall," Caicedo said.
