Beaver County Symphonic Wind Ensemble to perform in Rochester

ROCHESTER - The Beaver County Symphonic Wind Ensemble performs Sunday at Rochester High School.

The 3 p.m. concert follows the theme "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue".

Musical selections will include:

Old: "First Suite in E-flat" (Gustav Holst), "Florentiner March" (Julius Fucik), "Chimes of Liberty March" (Edwin Franko Goldman).

New: "Hypnotic Memories" (Rossano Galante), the premier performance of "Fanfare For A New Day" (by Beaver native Jeff Herwig).

Borrowed: "Rest" (Frank Ticheli), "Mars from The Planets" (Gustav Holst).

Blue: "Blue Tango" (Leroy Anderson), "The Blues Brothers Revue."

Rochester native and Beaver County artist, Elizabeth (Betty) Douglas, will display some of her selected original artwork in the lobby.

The concert is free. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted for Little Free Pantry at House of Prayer in Aliquippa.
