The answer is obviously no, and at The Black Whale they are highlighting New Bedford Scallops in their new menu item. A must-try is the Scallop Gratin, NBMA’s finest, served in the shell, with buttery breadcrumb and a creamy gruyere cognac sauce for $18. They are also dishing up fried scallops ($30), bacon-wrapped scallops ($34), and seared scallops ($32). For your scallop fix make sure to head over to 106 MacArthur Dr., New Bedford.

You don’t have to wait till Tuesday to get a delicious taco, all you have to do is stop at Off the Hook Bar & Grill for their pulled pork tacos. These tacos are made with pork that is smoked for 10 hours and topped with slaw and hand-cut, crispy onion strings for $16. Not a fan of pork? No worries they are also serving up fish ($18) and lobster tacos ($26) as well as triple threat tacos with a fish, a scallop, and a shrimp taco ($22). Father's Day cake decorating

Lees Market offered a sweet surprise for local moms this past May, and now dads can also have their cake and eat it too. The Westport store will be holding its annual Father's Day cake decorating event on Saturday, June 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They'll have frosted single-layer cakes available to customize with sprinkles and decorations. The cost is $14.99 per child, and no pre-registration is required. Stop by 796 Main Road, Westport, and dress up a delicious gift for dad.
