From beer to entertainment to an added location, here's what The Tap Yard has to offer in 2023

With 24 drafts of craft beer, wine, hard seltzers and canned cocktails, The Tap Yard beer gardens has announced its 2023 season schedule with locations and entertainment options.

The Tap Yard first opened on 84th and Layton in Greenfield during the pandemic to provide people with an entertainment option when everyone was socially distancing, The Tap Yard owner Nick Marking said.

But it was such a success, Marking kept expanding. This season, Menomonee Falls has been added as a new location.

Here's what to know about this year's locations, costs, entertainment and hours in addition to beverage and food offerings.

What dates will the beer gardens be open?

All the Tap Yard beer gardens are slated to open May 3 and will be open until Oct. 31, Marking said. The beer gardens have a partnership with the county parks. By having a beer garden there, it may bring more people to the parks, he said.

What type of entertainment will be offered?

At The Tap Yard, there is slated to be entertainment including live music, paint nights, trivia nights and music bingo. For a complete schedule each month, visit https://www.thetapyards.com

What are the locations of the beer gardens?

  • Fox Brook Park, 2925 North Barker Road, Brookfield

  • Menomonee Park, W220N7884 Town Line Road, Menomonee Falls

  • 1555 N. Rivercenter Drive, Milwaukee (On the Riverwalk near Schlitz Park)

  • Minooka Park, 1927 E. Sunset Drive, Waukesha

  • Ackerman's Grove County Park, 4875 County Highway Z, West Bend

What days and hours will the beer gardens be open?

The hours for all locations of The Tap Yard are 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday. The Tap Yard is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

How much does it cost?

To attend a beer garden that is at a county park, you must buy a daily park pass or a yearly vehicle sticker. The cost to get into a Waukesha County Park (Fox Brook Park, Minooka Park and Menomonee Park) is $6 a day or $35 a vehicle for the year.

To get into a Washington County Park (Ackerman's Grove County Park), the cost is $6 a day or $30 a year for a vehicle.

The Tap Yard at 155 N. Rivercenter Drive in Milwaukee has free parking and free admission.
