If beer is your thing, the upcoming Central Valley Brewfest has you covered. Meanwhile, the Carnegie Arts Center presents its fundraising tour of four artfully designed homes and gardens in Turlock, Riverdance returns renewed to the Gallo Center, while the frogs will be jumping in Calaveras County. Those are just some of the entertainment options planned in the Modesto region May 13-19.

Brewfest

There will be more than 150 brews to sample, along with art and music, at the annual Central Valley Brewfest in Turlock. Also set up will be a VIP wine sampling tent. Patrons must be 21 or older to attend.

Carnegie home tours

The Carnegie Arts Center presents “The Art of Design” Home & Garden Tour. This fundraising event allows patrons to stroll through the interiors and gardens of homes in Turlock. On Friday, there will be a Twilight Tour that features one renovated historic home, with food, wine and other beverages. On Saturday, tour four homes in Turlock, including the one above. Locations and home details will be provided with ticket purchases.

Mother Lode Roundup

Enjoy a parade and rodeos sponsored by the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Posse at the Mother Lode Roundup. The parade starts at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Sonora. There will be rodeos both days, with a Kiddie Rodeo at noon on Sunday.

Columbia Diggins

The living-history event Columbia Diggins 1852 allows you to step back to that year and discover what life was like in an encampment during the early Gold Rush period. The multi-day event features 150 costumed volunteers in period clothing.

Jumping Frog Jubilee

The annual jumping frog competition returns with the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee in Angels Camp. The event promises food, exhibits, entertainment, a destruction derby, livestock, arena events, vendors, stampede events and more.

Riverdance

Riverdance brings its 25th anniversary show to the Gallo Center for the Arts, a reinvention of a performance celebrated for its Irish and international dance. There’s a revitalized soundtrack and new production with lighting, projection, staging and costume design. Limited seats were available at press time.

Latin comedy
