Beer pick: Twins Pils, Summit Brewing Company, St. Paul

Back in 1986 before craft beer was cool, Summit Brewing Founder and President Mark Stutrud set out to make craft beers inspired by old-world brewing traditions with authentic ingredients. Thirty-six years later, they are still brewing great flavorful beers and are the oldest craft beer brewery in Minnesota.

Now they are the official hometown craft beer of the Minnesota Twins. The have rebranded their popular German Keller Pils to Twins Pils.

Twins Pils has a deep golden color with a white creamy head. It has a floral aroma of sweet malts and spicy hops. Rich Pils malt greets the palate with hints of caramel and honey. Hops follow the malts and add spicy and citrus notes.

The hops and malts are balanced perfectly with a clean finish making this beer very enjoyable. This beer pairs well with a Minnesota Twins game on an easy afternoon!
