Beers to you! 17 ways to enjoy Rhode Island Craft Beer Week

If you love beer, adventure, food and fun, you'll want to participate in one of the many events planned for the second Rhode Island Craft Beer Week, which runs from March 3 to 12.

There will be new beer releases, food trucks, special dinners, an eating contest, blind beer tastings, bingo games, craft events and even a “Name Your Beer” Trivia night at Narragansett Brewing on March 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. The winning team will get to name a new beer at the 271 Tockwotton St., Providence, taproom.

There are now 36 breweries in the Rhode Island Brewers Guild, compared with only five a decade ago. At least three more are set to open this year. (Stay tuned for that news.)

Kyle Toste, assistant brewer at LineSider Brewing Co. in East Greenwich called RI Craft Beer Week "a celebration of breweries in our state and an opportunity for us to celebrate with our patrons in fun and unique ways."

LineSider Brewing will host the second annual Saugy Showdown in East Greenwich on March 7 at 7 p.m. It's one of many events planned for Rhode Island Craft Beer Week.
