This Behind-The-Scenes Video Of The Chili's Baby Back Ribs Jingle Has Everyone Feeling Nostalgic

There's something about a good restaurant jingle that makes it stick with you for years–even decades. Such is the case with the iconic Chili's baby back ribs song. You know the one—the catchy bop that featured singers crooning about those saucy baby back ribs.

A few years ago, behind-the-scenes footage of the jingle's recording session delighted internet users. And just recently, the video clip resurfaced on Twitter, causing another wave of Chili's jingle mania. It begs the question: Is there a level beyond iconic? Because the video is so darn captivating.

In the brief video, three men are gathered around a mic, belting out the jingle. Their serenade ends with a thumbs up from a man in the studio, and one of the singers happily says, "It's so much better."

The video was shared by Twitter user @Todd_Spence on June 14 and has since received well over 100,000 likes.

The jingle has an interesting backstory. It was written by Guy Bommarito, who presented the song to the Chili's to beg the chain for a second chance after his ad agency was fired. Although the song was given the green light, Bommarito has explained that executives at Chili's were far from ecstatic about the tune. "The response was, 'Yeah, that should work.' Nobody was blown away or overly impressed," he said. "But it could've been my singing."

Bommarito admitted that he was initially taken aback by the jingle's longstanding popularity, but now it gives him a good chuckle.

"At first it was weird to keep hearing it for years. Now it just makes me laugh," he said.
