Mary Jane finally got the happily ever after that she wanted all along. BET series Being Mary Jane ended Tuesday, April 23, with a wedding between title character Mary Jane Paul (Gabrielle Union) and her longtime on-again, off-again flame Justin (Michael Ealy).

While much of the episode featured an intricate, dramatic backstory of how the two ultimately ended up exchanging vows, the final moments of the show revealed Union’s MJ in a beautiful, sleeveless wedding gown designed by Randi Rahm.

According to Rahm’s team, Union walked down the aisle in the “Sunshine” gown from the designer’s winter 2018 bridal collection. The piece itself is comprised of tulle and intricate hand beading, and was requested by the show’s costume design team.

“This elegant gown is encrusted with uniquely-shaped shell-like sequins, giving a mother-of-pearl effect on yards and yards of cloud-like tulle,” Rahm explains to The Knot.

Also quite fitting for the joyous final moments of the show was Union’s voiceover–a sweet conclusion to four seasons of life for the character. “I realized the only affirmation you need is ‘let go and let love,’” MJ mused. “The moment you stop saying ‘me’ and, without thinking, start saying ‘us,’ that’s the moment you’re finally able to allow the love you want in.”
