Belarus says police detained 121 people on Tuesday during protests
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Belarusian police detained 121 people at protests across the country on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Authorities have launched a crackdown on mass demonstrations against Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko that erupted after an Aug. 9 election his opponents say was rigged.
