Belarusian opposition leader reacts to Putin’s plans to deploy Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus

"Russia's deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus directly violates the Constitution of Belarus and grossly contradicts the will of the Belarusian people to assume the non-nuclear state status expressed in the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Belarus of 1990," Tsikhanouskaya said.

She said Russia was acting like an occupying force, violating national security, and putting Belarus on a collision course with its neighbors and the international community.
"This unacceptable development, making Belarus a potential target for preventive or retaliatory strikes, became possible because of the illegal seizure of power by the illegitimate regime of Lukashenko which, with massive support from the Kremlin, has become a hotbed of international law violations, crimes against humanity, the crime of aggression against Ukraine, and complicit in the war crimes against the Ukrainian people," she added.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced on March 25 that he plans to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus.

Earlier, on March 20, the UK announced that it would provide Ukraine with depleted uranium shells for Challenger-2 tanks. Later that day, Russian dictator said that "the collective West is already beginning to use weapons with a nuclear component," forcing Russia to "respond accordingly."
The UK Ministry of Defense stated that Putin was deliberately spreading false information.
