Belgium to send its largest arms package to Ukraine

Belgium also pledged EUR 69 million ($75 million) in humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

"Since the beginning of this war, our country has made a lot of effort to support Ukraine,” De Croo said.

“In total, our country has already provided military aid (to Ukraine) worth EUR 146 million ($159 million).”

The report specified that the upcoming package includes Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM), light anti-tank weapons, anti-tank grenades and guns, FN Minimi machine guns, SCAR automatic rifles, light armored vehicles, and fuel. In addition, Belgium provides training for the Ukrainian military.

However, Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder said Belgium could not supply Ukraine with tanks.

“We have no opportunity to respond to this request; we don't have them in our warehouse anymore, and we haven't found any working one for sale,” she said.
