Bellin partners with Concentra on Green Bay area occupational health care services

GREEN BAY - Bellin Health has closed its Green Bay area occupational health clinic and shifted operations to a new clinic opened and operated by Concentra Inc.

Bellin and Concentra on Monday announced the joint venture to provide occupational health care had gone into effect. Under the agreement, Bellin closed its occupational health clinic at 1630 Commanche Ave., in Ashwaubenon, and moved those operations to Concentra's newly-opened clinic at 2920 Ramada Way, also in Ashwaubenon.

Existing Bellin patients and clients will find the same services — and much of the same staff — at the Ramada Way clinic. In a media release, Bellin officials said the joint venture will mean patients will also have access to new services and additional resources.

“Ensuring ongoing access to quality workplace health services is an essential part of the healthcare services we deliver to our community," Bellin Health CEO Chris Woleske said in the release.

The new clinic will host work injury care, physical therapy, drug testing, physicals, pre-placement exams, and other occupational services. Concentra will operate the clinic, which will be co-owned by the two health care providers. Concentra will offer telehealth services for minor work injuries, as well.

The partnership for occupational health services only covers Bellin's Green Bay area operations. It will continue to operate its occupational health clinics in Iron Mountain, Michigan, Sturgeon Bay and Marinette as stand-alone operations.

Concentra, a subsidiary of Select Medical, already operates about 520 occupational health and urgent care clinics across the United States. Founded in Amarillo, Texas, Concentra is also known for providing physical therapy and wellness services, per its website.

This will be Concentra's 15th clinic in Wisconsin, but first outside of the Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha and Madison metro areas. Like Bellin's interest in adding services, Concentra sees the partnership as a springboard to growth in the region.

“Bellin Health has a strong reputation in Wisconsin, and we are excited to partner with them on a new location,” said Jennifer Fitzpatrick, vice president of Concentra operations, in a media release. “This partnership is expected to open new opportunities for both Concentra and Bellin Health.”
