Bellport Brewing Company Set To Open Physical Location Next Month
BELLPORT, NY — A longtime brewing company is looking to open its first brick and mortar location in Bellport next month.
After 7 years of owning the Bellport Brewing Company, Moriches resident Brian Baker will finally be opening the physical brewery on 14 Station Road sometime in October.
Patch conducted a Q&A with Baker to learn more about the business owner.

What made you want to open this business?
My passion for craft beer and friends and family it brings together.
How has the current pandemic impacted the opening of your business?
As terrible as it sounds, COVID is the only reason why we are able to open. Our landlord has been amazing so that helps us and construction vendors are in a position to take jobs a bit cheaper just to make money, so we did benefit in that aspect. However, to not be able to open to a full capacity and have a grand opening will hurt us in the end.
How would you best describe your business?
Bellport Brewing Company is different from other breweries mostly because of the location. We are in such a beautiful village with so much to do. The only thing missing is the night life, a place to bring people to the village and keep them here to see how many amazing stores we have and what we have to offer. The business will function to help other local vendors, you will see a lot of collaborations in our brewery with local vendors and we will push for our brewery to be a family fun friendly place for everyone to do something. Between outside seating on the field by the bar outside playing cornhole or staying inside watching a football game or a movie on our 2 big screen TVs. As far as drinks, we offer way more than beer. We will offer local wine, local spirits, local ciders and even our own homemade soda, teas and Italian sodas. There is something for everyone.
What's the best business advice you've ever received?
You live once, if you really want something to happen then you have to stop at nothing to make it happen. The people that help you make your dreams come true are your real friends.
What makes Bellport special?
Bellport is very rich in so many different ways. In the arts, food, the theater and even our custom boutiques. The people that run them are what makes this town special.
What's one thing you want your customers to know about your business?
That we are very passionate about our beers and supporting our local farmers that create our ingredients and using only the freshest ingredients we can get our hands on. Our business understands how important there are many pieces to make a working community. Our village is very important to us and supporting our local vendors around us is very important to keeping our beautiful village growing.
What's one fun fact about you?
I am a complete Star Wars fanatic. I have the tattoos to prove it! My daughter is even a huge fan as well! A great weekend is binge watching all of the movies from start to finish with her.
